I'm Proud of You Pollsters

Most of you are using the internet for holiday shopping...I think it's great fun to put on the flannel pajamas, have a cup of hot cocoa (i mean pour a glass of wine hehe) and order in the privacy of your own home. I found some cute little goodies in the specialty shops around town last weekend during the Open Houses. I actually worked two days in one of the stores. Here are the shirts I appliqued and embroidered for the Open House at The Pine Needle. Eleven elves donned them and worked like crazy. I loved it!

Makes Cleaning Easier

I went to Fresh Market hoping they would have this Fall fragrance but no go. So I ordered from Mrs. Meyers herself and enjoyed getting a big box of cleaning supplies in this new gingerbread fragrance. Mrs. Meyer's counter spray is the best! The soy candle is burning right now! Have I told you how much I love Fall and even love daylight savings time...

Yes, 17 years of wedded bliss TODAY! Yoohoo. To celebrate...Four Seasons Hotel, Trois Restaurant and Trish Yearwood....Okay, maybe we won't even leave the hotel. I'm pooped after this exciting week of Halloween and ...ok, sit down, I worked yesterday. Yes, at a cute little store here ...they needed extra elf help with their Christmas open house.
I just love this picture and I have been very un-sportsmanlike about our victory over Florida. I need to be thrown a flag. But Markiepoo is just telling coach where they are going to celebrate after they score the first TD! Surely, you New Jersey folks are proud of your Knowshon!

Hip Hop Harry

What a busy day filled with fun activities and running around! But, at 9:00, I say lights out and let's put our youngest to bed. So, I turn out the lights, my candy bowl is emptied and here comes a caravan of three cars. Out come three families including two adults. I find more candy and smile and say Happy Halloween. Hello? Here's a dollar, go buy a whole bag of candy and get your 2 year old in the bed! Then there was a 1979 buick parked front of my house for the next half hour and since no one ever knocked on my door, I wondered where these people were! I like my privacy, well, at home, although I expose myself right here!

Fall Football Finale!

This will be the other style. It will drape across body to head out shopping! Put on a black turtleneck, jeans and go! But, with these colors, it will look great for church or festive activities. This is what I decided on the other. I have gotten a mixed range of comments and I can only hope the person who said "start over" just meant "start over and make me one"!. Also, the velvet fabric up top isn't red but a beautiful dark pink color.

I was looking for a wonderful piece of literature for this long weekend...tried reading Remains of the Day, The Painted Veil, etc. but when I began this one, I couldn't put it down. Still working on it, but the premise so far is really bad, I mean, this woman is low...gold-digger extraordinaire, but entertaining book. So bad, it's good!

Decorating Daughter's Domain

These walls were light pink so the chocolate really made furniture and paintings stand out. I found the most beautiful silk plaid with all of the bright colors for her window treatments and plan to use a brown zebra for bedside table, pillows etc. So...not through yet but having fun with the process...

Is everyone as busy as me? It seems I have no time for this blog world.. I have a new header and I will comment on that when we finalize everything, but, so far, I love it! What do you think? Monogrammed six towels and rolled them up in a bamboo basket. Very Fung Shui!

This is actually a periwinkle blue, red and brown. After I wrapped it, I was thinking "Purple Hat Society". I did rewrap and took out the blue and added browns. I'm just glad my friends are finally turning 40!

My oldest is 15. This is from last night's Homecoming decorations. A couple of cheerleaders came by to decorate and say Happy B-day! Very special...and, he is #15 for the Catamounts!

A problemo..

Tomorrow is my precious son's 15th birthday! So, what he wanted was do redo his room. We have painted his room, bought him a new queen-sized bed and a new dresser. Promise to show pics soon. Tomorrow is his first Homecoming Dance too. Right now, the cheerleaders are out decorating our yard! Good times! The problem is making these bags because I have started something. My friend had a 40th surprise birthday party tonight so today I made her a bag. Just a little stressful whipping something up when so much is going on...Not complaining...Life if Good:)

Hump Day...

Wow...It has been almost a week since I have written! This past summer, I enjoyed my coffee and blogging every morning. My creativity has been a little stifled due to...busyness of family? I don't know, as I now have my three off at school. I will put some pics on later today of my daughter's bedroom I have just repainted and remodeled and today I am painting my son's room..This is my oldest on game day...he turns 15 Friday and I am working on his room for his birthday gift. New queen bed and mattress and dresser. He's in Hog Heaven!

I'm Still Here...

Thanks for the awesome ideas with the food and meal plans. Trying hard to cook something just to avoid so much fast food. I tell my friends that Thursday is the new Friday, which means no cooking. Actually, I'm planning to make the sloppy joe recipe that JILL left on her last comment.
