I Love Being Tagged!
Tres Poshe Preppytagged me for 8 Bizarre/Random/Habits meme:1. Well...right now I am eating sunflower seeds...very random habit!
2. I cheered for the Atlanta Falcons (when we were the "collegiate style" with guys)didn't last..no one liked the cleaned- up image...Let's don't talk about the Falcon's image right now! I think Steve Barkowski was our qtrback then.
3. I was a Delta Flight Attendant for a whopping five years. Loved seeing the world and getting paid for it!
4. I am such an early riser and love to get up and have coffee, read the paper and WanT to be better about my bible study. At night I start sinking about nine!
5. I can also go to sleep in about five minutes and totally cut off any stresses from my mind and "worry about it tomorrow". After all, tomorrow is another day...I think I have heard that somewhere!
6. I rarely watch TV or have any noise throughout the day. Although I love to exercise with my ipod!
7. I love blogging and surfing the web...among many other things...but find it very relaxing!
8. In all seriousness...I found a lump this week on the underside of my arm. It is a neurofibroma and is not common. It should be benign but if you pray, please be a prayer warrior for me.:) I see an Orthopedic Oncologist in Atlanta next week. My hubby is an orthopod too so this is really weird. I will have surgery soon. Trying to stay positve....
I need to tag eight folks>>>

Michael Hoke Society
Thanks to this wonderful Dr., we meet every summer in his honor. Michael Hoke was the first Orthopaedist and founded the first Scottish Rite Hospital for crippled children. My hubbie trained at Scottish Rite and Ga. Baptist and there is an annual meeting for those who trained there. Off to Myrtle Beach, S.C. I couldn't pull up the pic of Dr. Hoke but here is a new style purse for my friend who will be at the beach meeting. A brown elastic band wraps around the button..Click on the image to get a closer view .Thanks Dr. Hoke!

Whew! It's Over..
Our FCA Luncheon was a great event and raised so much money. I wanted to show what Touch of Whimsy sent for the Silent Auction/ Thanks again for your generosity:)She included five sets of notecards and a gift certificate. She can basically do anything you want and packages it so beautifully.

My Artist Friend
Tomorrow is the FCA Luncheon I have been working on...This is a huge platter my friend made. She is an artist...and, my friend..aren't I blessed...? Oh, and I may make a separate blog site to sell my bags and her artwork. (I just read a negative article about paypal, so a little hestitant) I would rather just trust someone to mail a check:)

Table Throw
Preppy Potato asked for ideas for decorating her next show. This is what I made for "Preppy Cash." She was using pink, green and brown:)
Mary Jane Bags...
Some friends of mine now own this business. Now they have a website...Check it out...I'll try to get you an online discount but it is very inexpensive. Just perfect for summer.

Just Write a Check...
Why is it that when I go to the retail shops to pick up a donation for a Silent Auction I am helping with on the 16th, I seem to have guilt and feel as though I must buy something from that store? Anyone else feel my pain? I did like these antique finds though I bought yesterday...The antique turquoise roaster was only 16 bucks and the linen table cloth wasn't much and is really cute with pigs and chickens...

July's Book Club
Jennifer Pooley, editor of William Morrow, an imprint of Harper Collins, was so kind to include two books along with my tote bag for the Book Club drawing. One is "This Little Piggy Went to Prada" which has b-e-a-utiful watercolor drawings and fashionable renditions of nursery rhyme favs. The other, "The Best of Friends" about two women and their enduring friendship across the pond.
I hope you are taking the time to read and relax! I can't wait to hear your comments!

5 Reasons We Love Amelia Island
1.The spanish moss hanging fom the oaks...mom says...that's me
2.Dad says: golf!
3.smallest child, who has a birthday tomorrow, the bike trails...I will admit, they are awesome and shaded too!
4.middle-child daughter says "the shopping"..what else?
5.oldest son says "stealing the wireless internet connection" allowing me to post this!
1350-acre luxury resort (rated AAA-four diamond) and upscale residential community on Amelia Island, the Amelia Island Plantation is located on the south-end of Amelia Island. Some of the resort property is beachfront, and then extends westward to the intracoastal waterway, and boasts four 18-hole championship golf courses, 23 tennis courts, two excellent fine dining restaurants, world-class spa, shopping village and lots of peaceful nature.
The Amelia Island Plantation is the largest resort and residential community on Amelia Island -- a sizable seaside retreat that offers so much in the way of amenities, you never need to leave the resort property (except to return home if you're a visitor).
