I made this for a friend's daughter for our football game Friday. Okay , my son's number is 15 so I didn't mind making it plus I wanted to practice applique'.

Swimming Party ...
Tonight our church is sponsoring a Bandstand with two christian bands, waterslides, chaos, etc. I will be there chaperoning while my 8 year old goes to a birthday party at our local pool. I made this little bag just for her (the birthday girl)and even made her a special pocket for her chapstick that she has to wear. She is very prissy.

The Gas Guslers Won
I tried to downsize...really! I bought a cadillac SRX (okay, I had a ton of points from my GM card) but I loved it. It was like a little wagon but higher off the ground. But, my hubbies' golf clubs wouldn't even fit sideways. So...I had to be practical. I traded it in for another Yukon XL but mine is the color of dirt. (Trying to save water and don't wash very often) I have three active children and tons of equipment. So now I am curious...What kind of car do you drive?

Happy 5-0!
Tomorrow we are celebrating my friend's 50th! I am giving her this art piece with two girls and a boy singing. This is perfect for her as she has the same and they love to sing! It is entitled "Church Choir"... Plus she is our church pianist and teaches our youth choir.

Endless Summer
These are for a mom's daughter who's hubbie is battling leukemia. The daughter goes every year on a beach trip and wanted to do these special towels for her girlfriends...so, the mom took a little stress off her and had me do the monogramming and I was glad I could. She brought them to me the day before my surgery so we talked about our scares...

Movin' On...
Thank you again for your very kind comments. I am indeed so blessed! Yesterday, I was invited to a friend's birthday party and I pondered whether to go or stay home and rest...but I finally got out. The gift was half a present..I usually make a bag but , well, this week was one for the records, so I stitched the monogram and gave her some fabric choices. She's pretty funky and stylish>
Oh, and thank Goodness for High School Musical 2 as my children had friends ask them to spend the night for HSM2 partys, etc. Hubbie and I were home alone...yoohoo...

Well...the Surgery is Over
A quick update because I am in mucho pain, but basically, it was neither a neurofibroma nor the schwanoma unfortunately. It looked to be a malignant mass but I won't know until 2-5 days. If it is not benign then I'll have radiation on that arm. Thank you for your prayers so much. And, mostly your patience with the bags if you haven't received yours. This was all so sudden. I found the lump three weeks ago and instead of slow growing it must have been agressive. Hopefully, this is isolated...just don't know until the path results come back. Back to bed and Percocet...

Well...Fall has won!
I love the new blogger survey addition! Fall was a huge winner. I was thinking that my actual very favorite time of year is the night when my hubby and I go to sleep with the window down (after a Friday night football game) and wake up to a little chill in the room. That is my specific favorite time...well, then a sunny, blue-sky 70 degree Georgia Football Saturday...to also be specific!

Update...CAUTION>>Very Gross Picture
NOT a pretty picture but this is what it looks like. Hey, at least I am "keeping it real". No pretentiousness here. I hope to post pretty bags tomorrow:)
I went to the Dr. today in Hotlanta, and feel soo much better about things:) My sweet specialist, Dr. Monson, says it is 99% benign. Praise God! I will have surgery on the 13th. I told him I really needed the use of my arm and hand, or the feeling in them, but he knows what he is doing. This mass is in the nerve...so I hope he has a good night's rest! Oh, I forgot to ask him today if this mass weighed 15 pounds! Just can't figure my scale out!
