Summer Reading

My two older children and I went to Barnes and Noble today and I just love the smell and atmosphere...I could stay all day. I am MAKING my daughter read this summer if it kills her. My son, the sports fanatic, is a reader, and picked out a few of his own. This book looked fun so I grabbed it. Reminded me of Breakfast at Tiffanys.. I bought some Holly Golightly glasses at Target the other day.
Has anyone read Summer Crossing by the author who wrote Breakfast at Tiffanys?

I loved "Summer at Tiffany". I would highly recommend it. The only book that I have read by Truman Capote is "In Cold Blood". It was spellbinding. I started his last book but I didn't like it. I think just about anything that he wrote is suppose to be good.

I am always looking for good books especially books to read while on the beach or at the pool!

I am also making my daughter read - she loves it though (she's a new reader) and she gets to stay up a little later to read in bed. I have to get my son reading well enough to do the same!

It's so awesome that you picked up "Summer at Tiffany"! The author is a Kappa Kappa Gamma like myself and came into our chapter to tell us about the book! We all took pictures together with her books to use for the publisher's promotion work, and I went to her book signing later that week to buy 6 copies! I am sure you will love the book; the author is just darling!
