The Gas Guslers Won

I tried to downsize...really! I bought a cadillac SRX (okay, I had a ton of points from my GM card) but I loved it. It was like a little wagon but higher off the ground. But, my hubbies' golf clubs wouldn't even fit sideways. So...I had to be practical. I traded it in for another Yukon XL but mine is the color of dirt. (Trying to save water and don't wash very often) I have three active children and tons of equipment. So now I am curious...What kind of car do you drive?

Well...I have really downsized since my 2 oldest drive and have cars of their own (only Griff left to taxi around).Since having children, I have had a Volvo wagon, Suburban, another Suburban, Expedition, Mercedes SUV and currently a BMW X3. The last 2 cars have been the perfect size for me and Griff, just enough cargo space for groceries and Griff's sports equipment.I love the X3,very zippy! MY dh drives a big lexus SUV, so we have a bigger ride if we need it.

Oh...and I meant to mention. I know all about gas guslers. My oldest son drives a Tahoe and it cost us $150 in gas just to get him home from school and back! Crazy :(

I went from an Explorer to a Saab and then to a GMC Envoy. I didn't like the small car. I guess I am a midsized SUV kind of gal. My next vehicle will probably be another Envoy or I may graduate to the Acadia.

I have had a Volvo wagon for the past five years and I LOVE it! But, it is not quiet big enough...I don't have any room to car pool. My husband wants to get a new car but I just can't pull the trigger!

What? The auto must carry the golf clubs...a neccessity. My sticks live in the trunk all season long!

I drove a wine colored Suburban until my kiddos drove themselves. Now, I drive an Acura TL.

Currently I am driving a Volvo XC 90 and a mini van. Why both? Because I love the Volvo but with my 3 children, their friends and sports equipment to cart around I need the practicality of the mini van. I also love having a car that is in nice (aka: clean) condition to sport around in when the load is lighter. Good luck with a tough choice!

I drive a gas gusler too, a Land Rover! I love it but it does take a lot of $$$ to drive. AND, I haven't seen gas under $3.00 (where in live in Chicago)?!? CRAZY! Maybe that cupcake mobile isn't such a bad idea. ;)

Great looking car. I drive a silver Chryslar Pacifica. Loving the 3rd row seats with the two kids. :)

LOL! I drive a black Toyota Echo that traps every ounce of heat on earth inside! It's great on gas mileage though (40 hwy mpg)! We also have a red Toyota 4-runner that belongs to my hubby. He rarely ever drives it since he commutes to work twice a week and the job is an hour away.

I drive an Audi A4. Love it! Super fun and sporty AND gets great gas mileage. If I'm ever lucky to become the mother of beautiful children, I'd love the Volvo S80 or Cross Country.

I drive a Volvo wagon, which I love but I do feel we need more space. Hubby loves cars and is always ready for change but I'm a little slower.

Yukon XL all the way! It is great for the whole gang and the sports equipment, coolers, chairs, pom-poms, coats if anyone needs one, plus groceries and boxes of purses to ship out! Get a small car to run around in and for good gas mileage like a preppy muffyish mercedes convertible like Mark's!

I ♥ my suburban.
It is obscene how much $$ to drive the thing, but worth it. With four kids, and friends of those kids, and Izzy's stuff we need lots of space!

Volvo wagon for me. Although if it would fit in the garage I'd get the Escalade, and if maintenance was cheaper a RangeRover.

I drive a very old ('96) Volvo 850 GLT Sedan which I love. DD has a cute convertible waiting for her in the garage for that driver's license. DH drives a Mercedes Sedan and we have a Chrysler Town & Country Mini Van for the once or twice a week we all go somewhere together.

Congrats on your new ride!!!
