It's A God Thing II
My youngest son had been asking me about becoming a christian for a year or so. We discussed and read the book "How to Become a Christian". He was ready to walk the aisle and tell our congregation. My husband was on-call though and said he would be operating all day. My son did not want to wait. Our children's sermon yesterday morning was a sweet story about an indian "rite of passage" between a father and son. I whispered, "we really should wait until your daddy is here". "No" was his answer. My older son texted (what did we do w/o our cell phones?) hubby and told him and he said he was just getting finished..one of his cases canceled. I said "come in your scrubs if you need to"... about the time little one was introduced about his decision, there comes hubby walking down the aisle. Sweet, too sweet....

that is so touching...so proud of harrison for making his decision!!
Congratulations to son #2 and to you and your husband for obviously doing a job at the parenting thing!
Congratulations! Doesn't it make you feel like you have done your job when your kids are saved? I was so proud of my BK, I could have burst. He was 9 and we felt that he truly understood everything and was ready.
BTW, God canceled that surgery so your husband could be a part of your son's big day.
That is so wonderful!!!
We're so proud of Harry and glad Dr. John could be there!
I think that is so wonderful that your husband made it & that your son felt so compelled at that moment. He knew God was speaking to him & what God wanted him to do.
So sweet!
You have got some really cute stuff you make here. Love that chair!
So precious...what a blessing that your husband made it for the moment!!
I guess that proves that really does put us where we need to be at exactly the right time!
I am SOOOO stupid! I left the word GOD out of my post! Maybe I should just put the Starbucks down and type with two hands.
What a sweet story! You know, I see all these people I work with who don't put any focus on church and it really bothers me. I really feel like my faith has helped me through everything tough I've ever had to face especially during my teenage years. Kudos to you!

What a wonderful moment.
Awww, man, that's wonderful. I bet your hubs was ecstatic to make it there in time.
SO sweet! Chokes me up that your youngest has such conviction, that your oldest was so clever, and that your hubby got there! What a wonderful day!
Awwwww, that is too sweet! :)
