I have been wearing it lately as , ....well, I have Spring Fever! My favorite winter fragrances are Narcisso Rodriguez and Flowerbomb by Victor and Rolf. Hey, tommorrow is March 1!

Well...Sort of...The children chose their favorite colors and we all enjoy golf, so I commissioned these paintings.

When we Returned

I had this waiting for me installed. It is my new two-drawer dishwasher. I love it! We have only been in this house five years, but my other GE monogram just bit the dust...plus...I never could keep the water spots off the stainless steel front of the dishwasher so I went with black this time. It may be just as hard to keep clean of smudges, we'll see.

As we were waiting on our flight, we went in a little shop called the Black Chandelier and I found these shoes. I thought they could be cute in a preppy sorta way, although this brand I wouldn't consider Preppy. What do you think???I am trying to get more comments!

Lovin' Life

Well...that's just about all I can say.
The best part about this trip is that my children are getting along fabulously! As a matter of fact, my oldest hasn't even been on this laptop because is is playing Pokemon with younger brother and showing him how to play. Okay, not to say that we are stuck on electronics... because ,we are playing fun family games and having very meaningful conversations. And, to that end, I recommend family only vacations from now on. We usually bring a friend on trips, but it is so nice to just be us. Off to the slopes....

Tuesday, I Think

I love losing track of time while on vaca....So relaxed and on son's laptop. Three cups of coffee, read five chapters of The Glass Castle and most of O Magazine. I love being on mountain time zone since I love to wake up early and do just what I have done. Have breakfast and off to the slopes all day. We had about 17 inches of new snow and today is supposed to be sunny...perfect! Last night, we watched Forest Gump again, and wanted to say to watch it too again if you haven't lately. What a GREAT movie....Tom Hanks is so good and I guess that is why he won an oscar for best actor. toodleloo!

Not out West Yet

Okay...I came home from Atlanta to pack (a few things) and I am heading out tomorrow. Then I saw this preppy name thingy.
The more relaxed I am the more I think...why go into business? Why not just make custom monogrammed bags for dear friends and family...I will ponder this week. Maybe just make bags for those who add me to their favorites. haha Seriously, I feel as though I have made so many friends out there in the blogsite world, and I've only been around one week. Let's get together and have a fun party or vaca together.

Since it is so frightfully cold right now...a book recommendation: One Special Summer by Jacqueline and Lee Bouvier. Also, I'm taking Enchantment..The Life of Audrey Hepburn by Donald Spoto on my trip.

Heading to the Slopes

Well...after a detour to Atlanta for a huge cheerleading competition. My daughter is a little competitive cheer girl! So...I am NOT taking my laptop on vaca..but my children will so I'll check out your comments on the fabs. The small pieces to the left on pictures are the lining fabrics. I will ponder my new business endeavor and hopefully, read lots of books! Happy President's Day and Happy Winter Break!

I'm seriously thinking about custom designing purses. There are a lot of bags "out there" but I hope my preppy fabrics and great monograms will set me apart. I have a website in the making and I am working on the business aspect. Here are some sample fabrics and combinations. Hard to tell finished product but you can scroll down and see two other bags. Let me know your favorite. I love the orange and green with brown linen liner...very summer! Any fabric designers out there? Thanks for the support and spreading the word!

Ragjax

These are my specialty. I make all sizes from any color sweatshirt, cut all bands and cut down the center to make a cardigan. I sew a seam around the edges and attach grommets for ribbon (usually a bunch of different colored ribbons) and monogram the side of cardigan. This one has an Easter Egg motif/ size 4/5. They are really cute for school functions or games. Red is my most popular with a white monogram to use for Christmas, Valentine's and our school functions...we are red and white. Ta Da!

Valentine's Day is tomorrow..Are you ready for Love?

I just put two chocolate cakes in the oven. It's my youngest's favorite recipe so I thought I would put it in a heart shaped pan. I am surprised there is any batter left after I just engulfed half of the bowl! Think I am ready for the children's gift giving; however, my hubbie will suffer as usual. There were some chocolate golf balls at Wallie World that said "Do you want to play a Round". That is about it for him.
