Resolutions???

My hubbie and I have a challenge. We've both decided to lose 7 percent of our body weight. For me, 7 lbs. Stop the high calorie intake and exercise, exercise , exercise! I jogged five miles yesterday and I can hardly move today:o) He told me not to complain, it is a new year!

On the menu today: Pork Chops, green beans, rice, crowder peas and crescent rolls...My diet starts when the children go back to school!
***Note: I am 5'2" and weigh 132 so I want to weigh 125 realistically! I'm baking chocolate chip cookies right now! and, yes, I exercise regularly, but had not run in two weeks because I had been eating, drinking and being merry!

I have a similar plan for 2008...
glad you are back and did you just go out and run 5 miles? Or have you been working up to it? Either way...I am impressed and jealous all at the same time!

If your plan is to lose seven percent of your body fat and that equates to only seven pounds for you. That means that you currently weigh 100 lbs.

Quit running!!!!!!! Stay inside and have a sandwich!!!!!! Only children in grade school should only weigh 100 lbs.

Dear so tired...7% of my body weight not fat! Actually, 10% should be my goal...12 lbs...but we chose to be realistic! Our family loves to eat and I never miss a meal:o)

I am clearly having math issues?! None of those numbers are working for me...Wouldn't 10% of your total body weight be 13.2 lbs? And 7% would be 9.24lbs? Aye. I'm giving myself a headache.

hmmm, I think I'll go have a beer.

Yeah for you! Good luck. I gained 50# two years ago at age 38 when I had Adam and I'm still fighting those last 10# not at age 40. It doesn't fall off like it used to. Grrrrr... so, losing weight AND running more is on my resolution list.

Since DOTR has his 30 year HS reunion coming up in June, we decided that this year we REALLY are going to lose weight.

Good luck, it's actually a lot harder to lose a little weight than a lot. Lucky for me I need to lose a lot..haha!
